ICEBREAKER

GSMAREA, (September 25, 2020) "iPhones dominate the top 10 smartphones sold in the US during first week of September"

What item I would assign into with my personality? It was the task given to me by one of my tutors.

I would definitely be a smartphone.

The smartphone is such a powerful device nowadays, most of us have one or heard about it in their life.

The smartphone these days is like a portable computer device, we can take it with us everywhere we want to, we can use it where we want and however we like to. Because of it, we have access to the internet, calls, and messages 24/7. Personally, I can not imagine my life without a smartphone, having access to everything is a lifesaver.

Of course, smartphones are so addictive and it's a big problem especially for young people, they prefer to sit for a whole day on their phones then go out to have fun with their friends or they are meeting with them to play games on their phones but everything with advantages have some disadvantages.

Let's start from the beginning

                                                    How smartphones were invented?

The first smartphone was invented in 1992, 25 years ago. Created by IBM, the Simon Personal Communicator was truly the revolution. It was the first phone to combine the functions of a cell phone, i.e you could make calls, and a PDA, which back then was a handheld device you could use for emails and send faxes.

Why smartphones were invented?

To make our life way easier then we had before. The world before them was cold and unforgiving. People waited in lines for a minutes on end without entertaiment. Mobile phones allowed as to have access to internet, to contact our employees to book our shifts or to send faxes.

How mobile phones are working on our brains?

Smartphones can make our brain ''Lazy''. With smartphone we don't need no longer to memorize a phone number or find your way around town using a map, our smartphones are doing it for us. So how to protect our brain from our phones? Some people find it helpful to delete social media or set a limit of hours or minutes they can spend on their mobile phones.

My conclusion is, that even if our phones are so useful and helpful for us they can also affect on us in a really bad way. We can just before lazy because of them and get addicted from using them without realizing it but in the same moment what we would do without them? I think in schools we should teach young people how to use them correctly to not get addicted from moblie phone however world nowadays is all about technology so I don't think there will be a solution or a way to use our mobile phones less.

Thank you.

WELCOME IN TERM 3

HI EVERYONE  Thank you for visiting my blog again. My name is Simon Tkacz and I am a student of Media&Communication at De Montfort University in Leicester  My hobby is media, languages, sports, fashion, and music. This blog will focus mainly on things connected with media, art, and photos because I want it to be connected with the subject I am studying. I was interested in media&communication since I was really young I was a commutative kid always ready to discover new things in my life. A few years later I started to find myself in social media, I made a lot of websites, fan pages, or blogs it was really interesting for me. When I grew up I decided to go study in the UK to learn more about it and here I am!  My aim was always to work for some massive media company, communicate with people daily without any problems. Hopefully one day I would be able to work on my own ideas and develop them in the best way possible!
