Media Project Plan

Progression Route: Media & Communication BA(Hons)


Describe your major project objective using the SMART acronym

I will create  a collection of abstract photos of between 6-10 images.   I will develop my photography skills by using my mobile phone with a manual settings app to create abstract images in-camera.  I will then use lightroom or photoshop as quality control before I upload the collection to a gallery on my website with a conceptual introduction.This will be completed by the deadline in mid-march.

Why have you chosen to do this project?

I am interested in photography and I decided that it will be a really good opportunity to try to work with abstract photos, I find it very interesting and really complicated in a good way. I'm interested in different types of photography but I find abstract photos as the most interesting ones.

Who are you researching for this project? Please list at least three media producers, authors, musicians, photographers etc.

I will researching Wolfgang Tillmans, Jackie Rankin and Edward Weston. I will try to see and inspire a little bit with their work and also I will watch a lot of youtube videos about abstract photography, but my main goal is to find my own style.

What techniques/skills are you developing/learning for this project?

I want to try some night photography, photos of buildings and daily things we use.

What do you expect the final outcome of the project to be?

THe final outcome of this project will be a set of six-ten images

What do you think will be the issues/drawbacks to the project?

First thing is time, I am so busy during this whole pandemic and also motivation it's so hard to find it these days when everything is closed. I'm also ready for re-doing my shots because not all of them will be perfect.

    The project plan in on week four under learning materials - you should have completed this and added it here - there is an example on my blog - this is not a plan

WELCOME IN TERM 3

 HI EVERYONE  Thank you for visiting my blog again. My name is Simon Tkacz and I am a student of Media&Communication at De Montfort University in Leicester  My hobby is media, languages, sports, fashion, and music. This blog will focus mainly on things connected with media, art, and photos because I want it to be connected with the subject I am studying. I was interested in media&communication since I was really young I was a commutative kid always ready to discover new things in my life. A few years later I started to find myself in social media, I made a lot of websites, fan pages, or blogs it was really interesting for me. When I grew up I decided to go study in the UK to learn more about it and here I am!  My aim was always to work for some massive media company, communicate with people daily without any problems. Hopefully one day I would be able to work on my own ideas and develop them in the best way possible!
